This post really got me thinking…

The modern Left loves to mock masculinity—calls it toxic, fragile, outdated. But the truth is, the world they live in runs on the backs of men who embodied the exact traits they’re trying to erase.

Strength. Discipline. Hierarchy. Risk. Restraint.

They didn’t build this system. They inherited it.

And now they want to dismantle it—without even understanding what it was.

They live in a world so materially secure, so padded by the fruits of male labor and traditional order, that entire ideologies have been built on the fantasy that civilization maintains itself. That power is oppressive. That safety is a given. That structure is optional.

It’s not.

Someone has to build the grid.

Someone has to stay calm in a burning building.

Someone has to stand between danger and the weak.

Someone has to get their hands dirty so others can stay clean.

And historically—biologically—that someone has been men.

Not the performative kind. Not the “ally.” Not the influencer with a ring light and strong feelings about dismantling gender norms.

The real ones. The men who lift. Who direct. Who operate. Who command. The ones who don’t need praise because they don’t need permission.

These are the men we’ve been taught to sneer at. And not just men—the traits themselves: strength, risk tolerance, authority, hierarchy, physical dominance, emotional restraint.

For most of my life, I was a tomboy. I didn’t relate to softness. I didn’t want to be pretty. I wanted power. And I thought power meant rejecting everything feminine. I was taught—explicitly and implicitly—that real empowerment meant out-manning the men. Compete. Dominate. Mock what came before.

But age and clarity have a way of peeling back the illusion.

Real femininity doesn’t posture. And real masculinity doesn’t apologize.

There’s a reason humanity survived. It wasn’t because we redefined gender roles every three years. It’s because men showed up, fought, built, protected, endured. Civilization wasn’t a gender-neutral project. It was driven by our biological design—and functional societies worked with that design, not against it.

But somewhere along the way, subversion became more fashionable than structure. Masculinity became something to parody instead of something to model. And now the Left only celebrates men when they’re actively rejecting their own nature.
